CEDIA Australia Ethical Technology Conference
Tuesday 29th July 2025, 8.30am-1.30pm AEST
Virtual Event
As technology becomes more deeply embedded in our homes, the need for ethical, inclusive, and human-centred design has never been greater. The CEDIA Ethical Technology Conference is an Australian-led half-day virtual event that brings together designers, integrators, researchers, and advocates to explore the responsibilities our industry carries when creating connected environments.
Through a series of thought-provoking presentations and panels, this conference will examine real-world ethical dilemmas facing the smart home industry today, from data privacy and informed consent to trauma-informed design, accessibility and unintended consequences of automation. Whether you're designing systems for vulnerable populations, considering how your work intersects with surveillance, or simply seeking to align your business with emerging best practices, this event will challenge you to think more critically about the role of technology in people’s lives.
Featuring leading voices from law, lived experience, neurodiversity, accessibility, and ethical design, the CEDIA Ethical Technology Conference provides practical tools and new perspectives to help integrators lead with integrity.
Registration includes access to all live sessions and on-demand recordings.
